TIM SMITH, PHD ANNOUNCED AS FINALIST FOR CHICAGO SOFTWARE ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL CITY LIGHTS AWARDS Tim Smith, PhD is Recognized as CityLIGHTS Award Finalist for Promoting Technology Awareness and Growth
Wiglaf LLC today announced that Tim Smith, PhD is a finalist for The Chicago Software Association (CSA) CityLIGHTS Award. This prestigious award recognizes a business, education, media or government leader whose efforts on behalf of the information technology industry have best promoted its growth and/or awareness of its vitality in Chicago to a range of audiences. Previous CityLIGHTS Award winners include Scott Glickson of Gordon & Glickson in 2002, Dennis Keller of DeVry in 2001, Leslie Beller of i.c.stars in 2000, and Mayor Richard Daley in 1999. "It is a great honor to be recognized by my community as an individual with impact,” said Tim Smith, PhD, Editor of the Wiglaf Journal and Principal at Wiglaf LLC. “The CSA works diligently to improve the Chicago Software industry. To be considered by them for the CityLIGHTS award is a wonderful recognition of our efforts in highlighting the achievements of Chicago technology companies and in improving the ability of executives in making sales.' The CityLIGHTS Award is one of five awards to be presented at CSA’s prestigious annual CityLIGHTS (Leadership, Innovation, and Growth in High Technology) event, to be held on January 21, 2004, at the W Hotel City Center, Chicago. CityLIGHTS awards are given in recognition of outstanding information technology companies, executives and advocates in Illinois, supporting nation-wide achievements and growth in the Midwest region.
